Start! Teaching Essentials

A synchronous workshop is mandatory for this module. There are two dates to choose from (one online, one on site), of which only one must be attended.

1st date: Tuesday, 3rd of November 2026, 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (online and English)

2nd date: Thuresday, 5th of November 2026, 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (location: tba ; in German)

Additionally, we offer an optional kick-off session in which we briefly introduce the course structure and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the module.
Kick-off-session: Wednesday, 23 September, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (online via Zoom).

Start! Practice your Teaching

This module will not be offered in the Fall Semester 2026. It will next be offered in the Spring Semester 2027.

There are several learning units to choose from in this module. Some are exclusively asynchronous, some are synchronous workshops. From all of these learning unit-choices, 3 learning units are compulsory (of which two have to be synchronous and one asynchronous).

Presenting knowledge to a wider public:
Presentationskills:

Learning Video: Mainly asynchronous learning unit;
Gamification: Exclusively asynchronous learning unit without synchronous unit.

Course language: This course is taught exclusively in German. A good command of German is required to attend this module, as all workshops are conducted in German.

 

Credit Transfer Eligibility

ECTS credits are awarded via the School for Transdisciplinary Studies.
